and Training Administration now processes all requests through
the Atlanta National Processing Center. The Alaska Department of
Labor and Workforce Development’s (DOLWD) responsibilities
are limited to:
The steps used by employers to process a request for a permanent
foreign labor certification are as follows:
Step 1: Request the Prevailing Wage Determination
from Alaska DOLWD
Request the prevailing wage determination by completing Alaska’s
Permanent Prevailing Wage Determination Request form and submitting
it to Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
The prevailing wage determination form is available as a Microsoft
Word document or a Adobe
Acrobat PDF.
Requests for a Permanent PWD must be submitted on Alaska’s
Permanent Prevailing Wage Request form and can be sent to DOLWD
via email, U.S. mail or FAX:

You will receive the Prevailing Wage Determination within 14
working days from the time the form was received by DOLWD.
Step 2: Advertise the job through the state job center
After receiving the prevailing wage determination (PWD) from
AKDOLWD, employers are responsible for advertising the job through
the Alaska
Job Bank to recruit U.S. workers. To place a job
order contact the nearest job center office to the proposed
worksite. For a complete list of job center offices click
here. Job orders must be advertised for no less
than 30 days. For more information about this process refer

Step3: Submit the Prevailing Wage Request to U.S. Department of Labor
The Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development is only responsible for providing the prevailing wage determination to employers. All other inquires about the Foreign Labor Certification process or the status of your request must be addressed to USDOL ETA.
