Anchorage – Media Advisory State Pushes Jobs For Alaskans

The Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development will hold a press conference at
1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16 , at the Gambell Job Center, 400 Gambell Street in Anchorage.

Labor Commissioner Greg O’Claray will be joined by Governor Frank H. Murkowski, Health and Social Services Commissioner Joel Gilbertson, Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development Bill Noll, union leaders, legislators and some of the state’s top employers.

The group will launch a new program promoting job training and putting Alaskans to work in good-paying jobs.
