Site Specific training:

Employers may request site specific training on various topics such as: fall protection; accident prevention; forklift training; personal protective equipment (PPE); and other OSHA regulated training. To request a specific training session for your staff, fill out a Request for consultation and training services form.

OSH-10 Training

AKOSH provides OSHA-10 training in Construction and General Industry for employers throughout Alaska. This 2-day course is offered to employers who require certification for their staff in the Construction or General Industry. To request an OSH-10 training session, fill out a Request for consultation and training services form.

Seafood training

AKOSH offers employers a free, 2-day seafood training session for supervisors and management personnel in the seafood industry. For more information about the next seafood training session or scheduling a seafood training session for your organization, please email AKOSH Training Coordinator Christian Hendrickson at christian.hendrickson@alaska.gov.

Consultation training visits

AKOSH also offers on-site and limited consultation visits that are customized to meet the employers' needs. Employers may request a visit by filling out a Request for consultation and training services form.

Workplace Violence Training (WPV)

AKOSH offers Workplace Violence Prevention training. This training covers basic WPV prevention techniques and addresses concerns regarding the safety and protection of employees in case of a WPV event. Employers interested in scheduling a Workplace Violence Training (WPV) training session should fill out a Request for consultation and training services form.

Understanding OSHA Rights Training

Job Safety and Health is the law. This 1 hour presentation discusses employees' rights and employers' responsibilities as defined by the 1970 OSHA Act. Employers interested in scheduling a training session should fill out a Request for consultation and training services form.
